Wilmington Regional Organizing DirectorThe DNC is seeking a Wilmington Regional Organizing Director to join the National Organizing Team. You will lead and manage a Volunteer Coordinator to create a welcoming, responsive, and productive team of highly motivated volunteers. You will manage the day-to-day needs of the local field office, focusing on community building, efficient office operations, and welcoming events, and voter contact. This role will report to the Deputy National Organizing Director and will work with them to implement and execute an in-person, volunteer-led organizing program.Ideally, you specialize in cultivating strong relationships and establishing robust processes. You are a clear and effective communicator. You have a strong track record of managing relationships with leaders at all levels.Qualifications:

  • 2 cycles as an organizer; at least 1 cycle of management experience.
  • You are a great communicator who can interact with volunteers and leaders across levels.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can navigate ambiguity to achieve desired outcomes.
  • You are incredibly organized and are able to prioritize multiple projects moving at different speeds in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with managing volunteers, especially volunteer leadership development.
  • No task is too small.
  • You are either based in or willing to relocate to the Wilmington, Delaware area.Responsibilities:
    • Oversee local distributed organizing efforts, ensuring alignment with national strategies.
    • Collaborate with the Deputy National Organizing Director to implement and execute an in-person, volunteer-led organizing program.
    • Direct daily operations of the Wilmington field office, maintaining a vibrant and efficient hub for campaign activities.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with volunteers, local leaders, and community stakeholders.
    • Establish and maintain robust processes for volunteer engagement, volunteer leadership, and office operations.
    • Ensure that your staff is trained on both the technical and relational aspects of their roles, and provide daily coaching to help them continually grow their programs.
    • Other duties as assigned.Due to FEC regulations, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible to apply for this role.Salary: The starting salary for this position is $78,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends.
